How much does turfing cost in London?
It depends on the size of the lawn and how much preparation the ground needs, so we price each lawn after a free visit. We give you one fixed figure covering removal, preparation, turf and laying.
When is the best time to lay turf?
Spring and autumn are ideal because the turf roots in before heat or frost. We lay turf through most of the year, but in high summer it needs watering every day for the first few weeks.
How soon can I walk on new turf?
Keep off it for two to three weeks while it roots, then give it a light first cut on a high setting. After about six weeks it will take normal family use.
Do you remove the old lawn and soil?
Yes. The old turf and any surplus soil are taken away as part of the job, so you are left with a finished lawn and nothing to dispose of.
